Crime Prevention at Civic

We think most people including, CCPD Chief Rob Petrovich who attended the Cape Coral Civic Association meeting on Tuesday, November 27, would agree that the Crime Prevention of SWFL, Inc program presented this month was both informative and entertaining on the subject of crime prevention. The guest speaker from Crime Prevention of SWFL was Louis Piche'. Civic would highly recommend this program to any of the homeowner associations, newcomers club or any other group who might have interest to contact them for a presentation. The toll free number to arrange for a presentation from them is 866-425-3641.

In addition Chief Petrovich also shared some crime statistics across the city in a power point presentation. Chief Petrovich was also able to display on line, real time data from his lap top computer as to the police activity within the city while the meeting was taking place. Also in attendance were; Michele Sargis from the Lee County Sheriff's Department Crime Prevention unit, Frank Cassidy Cape Coral Code Compliance 574-0613 and Pat Foote, Cape Coral Neighborhood Watch Program 573-3048, www.capecoralwatch.com

Civic also took time to welcome and congratulate the newly elected city council members Pete Brandt, Bill Deile, Eric Grill and Derrick Donnell who shared a few of their thoughts with us after being in office for the past two weeks. Council member Jim Burch was working as liaison to the CRA meeting that went on until almost 11 p.m. and could not attend.
