Rosado, MIA
For a second consecutive week City Council Member Rosado didn't show up for a council meeting. It seems Mickey is too busy or thinks he is just too important for the mundane duties he was elected to perform.
Update: News-Press Sept. 8, 2005 http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050908/NEWS0101/509080325/1003
Rosado had this to say; "I was working for the city. I think the majority of council understood what I was doing," Rosado said about his trip. "My objective is to seek resources that will help grow opportunity for the city."
Question: How could Rosado be "working for the city" or "majority of council understood what I was doing" when the rest of council didn't know where he went and didn't authorize him to go in the first place? In what capacity was Rosado at this meeting?

Rosado's comments in today's Daily Breeze speaks volumes about this person who thinks he’s better than everyone else. This is what he said.
"I'm breaking a tradition in the City of Cape Coral as being an active role player. I'm not your traditional person. My work ethic is far beyond the call of duty."
In my opinion Mickey broke the tradition when he outright lied to the public about his education. Ditto on his not being "your traditional person" and double ditto on his "ethics."
Anytime that I hear Mr. Rosado is off somewhere as an elected representative of our city I cringe!
At the very least Rosado needs to be censured by this city council.Mickey's narcissistic attitude needs an adjustment!

It's obvious, from last night’s discussion regarding Rosado’s absence, that most council members do not understand what the city charter 4.11 (4) provides.
The Charter provides that only the Council can excuse an absence. Sending a memo asking to be excused, without the agreement of the Council, does not constitute an excused absence.
